Maíra Martini
Executive CommitteeMaíra Martini is the Chief Executive Officer of Transparency International, in which role she runs TI's International Secretariat in Berlin and contribues to the leadership of the global movement. For several years before this appointment, she led the TI movement's work on anti-money laundering, beneficial ownership transparency and professional enablers, authoring several reports on these issues as well as leading TI's work within the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium, a ground-breaking partnership with investigative journalists from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. In addition to her work with the Anti-Corruption Data Collective, Maíra is also on the Steering Group of OpenOwnership. Previously, Maíra worked on TI's Anti-Corruption Helpdesk, where she produced research briefs on anti-corruption and governance on a variety of issues and countries and led the establishment of TI’s Anti-Corruption Experts Network. Maíra is a lawyer, a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CANS) and holds a Masters in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
